It dawned on me that Fitzwilliam Darcy of Pride & Prejudice could have dined with Lord Grantham at Downton Abbey with little change in manner or decorum. I began to imagine, what would happen if I catapulted Austen's iconic couple forward a hundred year into the chaos of WW1? After all, the relationship between Darcy and Lizzy is known as being somewhat 'explosive,' and I thought it was the perfect setting for their romance to unfold. <br /><br />It took nine months of research before I could even begin, but my Darcy's Hope saga has been one of my greatest joys in life.
